Kobarid – Stol

Access to starting point:

From Bovca or Tolmina the zapeljemo in Kobarid, where in the center across the border crossing Robič. Follow this road only a few tens of meters to the parking lot, which we see on the right side of the road at a point where it was once the pump. During the weekdays, the parking lot is often busy.

 

Path description:

The parking lots are focusing our back (eastward) to junctions in the center of Kobarid. In the crossroads go left and after a few meters on the left side, we will see signpost “chair 4h”. When the road continued right up through the narrow road past houses. The road ends soon and we continue as walking paths in the woods. After a short climb through the woods come to intersections where the left toward Stolu focusing, right are leading the way towards the Grand edge. Since the route through the woods is not large in, only occasionally can be seen through vejevje Kobarid and Krn. The path then leads us past some debris to the juncture where it is connected kolovozu. Take left onto kolovoz after which the vzpenjamo past couple of old houses. Kolovoz soon end and we will continue as walking path that leads to crossings. Left leads the way to the lookout point on Homu (1015m) which is 5 minutes walk. Proceed right in the marked path that we in about 10 minutes, leading to the reef on which steep discounts and opens us to a beautiful view of the Kobarid and the surrounding peaks. The way forward drives on the ridge in part through the grassy slopes, in part through the rare woods. Soon we come to the juncture where we left way connected with the Old villages are on the right path to Trnovo at the Soči. Proceed as grassy slopes than sheep status and the hunting lodges Stariski top. Shortly before hunting cabin is our way connected narrow mountain road which we follow to a nice orderly bivaka Hlek.
From bivaka then continue to follow the mountain road up to the juncture where the left against offs road Breginju, right against Učji and Žaga. We are focusing directly on the codes “1 hour chair”. The road ends soon and we will continue to the right on the fence Monday fairly steep grassy padini. When you get to the ridge across the left and follows only a few short climbs to the top of Stol.
